About Quincy D3690
Quincy is a very lively, playful puppy. He is very excitable, and just wants to be where you are, whether that’s at your feet while you’re hanging up the washing, or waiting at the door for you to come home! His friendly nature would make him great with kids, though perhaps slightly older ones, as he does have a tendency to jump when he gets excited! Exercising him twice a day will be very important for him so he can be relaxed and well behaved at home.
Quincy is just about toilet trained, as he will go out to do his business outside if he can, but he doesn’t know how to ask to go out yet. Overnight, he’ll usually hold it if he can. Foster-mum’s working on it. Quincy’s expected to grow to a medium size. He has good focus and loves his food, so should be easy to train. As well as training, lots of socializing with other dogs/animals and strict boundaries will all help this active, smart boy to be the best family member that he can be.
He has a burn on his back leg and side that is almost healed. The hair is growing back now and it doesn’t seem to have affected his confidence at all.
Our puppies are quarantined when they come to us and then must wait until their vaccination takes effect before they can go out into public areas. So the only interaction Quincy’s had so far with other dogs, or cats for that matter, is with his bro Quinn. If he ever got the chance to get near a lawn full of chooks...well, he would probably get a big feed that night...
Quincy would love and suit a home with older children to play with, who can maintain strict boundaries with him and who won’t get scared with his games.
A few hours in a plane is absolutely worth it for remotely located animals like Quincy - it means he’ll have the opportunity to be adopted. Flights to Perth for dogs are capped at $150 thanks to QANTAS, and he can fly elsewhere in Australia too.
So if you think this playful pup is perfect for you, make an enquiry and SAFE won’t take long to get back to you.
