About Hercules ~ Shar Pei x Cattle (On Trial 25/11/17)
Introducing the ever so handsome Hercules! - an 8 week old, male Shar Pei x Cattle puppy. He’s an adorable chubby, roly-poly ball of fluff who loves people.
Hercules is a massive sook and loves attention. He loves playing with his foster siblings and tries really hard to be the boss, but with his heart of gold he doesn’t quite have it in him!
Hercules is a very healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment. He has been very well socialised with other puppies and adult dogs (small and large) and gets along well with them all. He's met lots of people and is friendly and affectionate with them.
Hercules will grow up to be a medium size dog. He is doing well with basic training and knows how to use a doggy door, but would love to learn more. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Hercules. If you don't have another dog to keep him company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.
Hercules needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. He will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. He can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Hercules’ sister Xena is also available for adoption.
As Hercules is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Hercules, please contact his foster carer Alicia at alicia.isaacs17@gmail.com. Hercules is located in Port Stephens (north of Newcastle).
Hercules' adoption fee is $550 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Happy and healthy puppy.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
