Large Female Greyhound Mix Dog

Precious is a very loving and nice natured young girl. She is a tall dog... really tall! But she doesn't realise this, and will jump up at people to say hello, so her new owner will need to LOVE big dogs and be willing to put a bit of time into some training. She is voice responsive and loves treats, which is a great starting point, and we think Precious is so worth the effort. She is house trained and walks nicely at your pace on lead.
ENERGY LEVEL & REQUIREMENTS
Precious is full of beans. Her ideal owner will be able to walk her at least once a day, preferably twice. She walks really well and is good company. Walks or runs will really help to use up some of her energy, which she has in abundance! Toys and games will also help and her favourite past time is anything involving water, whether it's a run at the beach, a paddle in the clam shell in the yard or a dip in the river: this girl simply adores the water. Precious will also thrive in a home with lots of company as she loves being near her humans and tends to get bored/lonely in a yard alone. Part-time workers or those working from home would be best suited to her needs.
SUITABILITY FOR DOGS AND CATS
Precious gets on well with other dogs and is currently in a home with a spacious yard where she and her best buddy run and play together happily. Given her size and exuberant nature she would not be a good match for small or old dogs. If you already have a playful pooch who loves to run and who would enjoy play buddy, Precious would be ideal. She will chase cats so not suited to a home with them.
SUITABILITY WITH CHILDREN
Precious likes children, however her size means she will be best homed in a home with older kids or adults.
