About Bouncy, Bubbly “Brittie”. Brisbane
Do you enjoy spending time with bouncy, bubbly people? Maybe you have a family with some bouncy youngsters (only 10 years old or over) on board? Or maybe you’re a bubbly soul yourself, looking for a kindred spirit? If so, Brittie is the greyhound for you! Brittie is the queen of bubbliness and bounciness, brimming over with love and joy.
Brittie loves her walks and bounces along on her lead, getting extra-excited when she says hello to her friends. She gets along ok with her sighthound foster siblings but isn’t a fan of very little dogs (however she is good with whippet and small beagle size). Brittie is brilliant at climbing stairs (she persisted despite a few tumbles), toileting in the right place, loves riding in the car and not escaping. She’s much braver around new people and the big horse next door, but isn’t likely to go well with cats. Brittie has pannus which is easily managed with daily eye drops, and a hilarious overbite that makes her dopey grin even more adorable.
Brittie loves being indoors with her people. She’ll sneak onto her foster carer’s child's bed and stay there quietly until she gets found! Brittie can’t hide for long though, with her happy, waggy tail going thump-thump-thump against the walls. This darling girl is bursting with joy to share with the lucky family who adopts her.

Medical notes
Brittie has an eye condition that afflicts greyhounds, called Pannus, which if left untreated can eventually make them blind. It is very easily managed and requires daily eye drops, which she takes in her stride.
All our dogs are desexed, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped.
Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
