Max is a little guy with a HUGE personality!
Max came to SAFE Esperance as an owner surrender. He’s a playful, affectionate boy who can be a little timid with people at first but soon comes round, especially if he’s offered treats.
He currently lives with 2 other dogs and has settled in well with them. He also lives with cats and has shown some interest in playing with them, so a dog-savvy cat who won’t take his nonsense would be fine with him after a gentle introduction. He would be best suited to a family with older children as he can be a bit excitable around them.
Max loves the beach, playing with his ball and ripping up soft toys!
He knows a few basic commands and tugs a little on his leash. He’s very eager to please so will be fairly easy to train with the help of his favourite doggy treats. He’s still house training but now asks to go outside and is having fewer accidents.
He’s a high energy boy, so needs at least one good long walk each day. His new home needs to have secure fencing, and he needs to be inside with the family at night, ideally on someone’s bed, as he will cry otherwise. He also needs someone who is home for most of the day, either someone who works from home, a stay at home parent of a retired person.
