Jaro D3693

Hi there! I’m Jaro. I’m a very sweet and gentle boy. I’m part Jack Russell but with unusually long, skinny straight legs :) I’m very affectionate towards my foster carer. If she let me, I would sit on her lap most of the day - or her bed ;) It’s my dream to be an inside dog where I can be with my Loved Ones most of the time - interspersed with walks, though, so I could meet other dogs as I really enjoy their company. And if those walks were at the beach? I would be the happiest dog EVER! My carer took me to the beach and I ran and ran and ran, in huge circles of happiness! I can run really fast like a whippet and wow, with all that sand and all that space? I was in doggo heaven!

I was very timid at the pound and wouldn’t eat or drink, but the rangers could tell I’d make a great pet, so they asked SAFE to find me a home. I feel confident being with other dogs, so I think it would be awesome if I had a nice doggy friend to live with. I’m a bit shy with people initially, until I figure out that they won’t hurt me.

It’s a bit hard to tell my size in photos, but I weigh about 8kg.

A few hours in a plane is absolutely worth it for remotely located animals like me - it means we have the opportunity to be adopted. Flights to Perth for dogs are capped at $150 thanks to QANTAS, and I can fly elsewhere in Australia too.
