About Rosalie
Have you ever been disappointed when cute, tiny kittens grow up to be big cats? Rosalie is an eternal kitten!
Rosalie is a very cute little girl with tiny bird bones and beautiful pumpkin coloured eyes! She is the smallest cat and doesn't seem inclined to grow any bigger. She has the tiniest little meow, she's like a little squeaky toy!
She can be quite timid and shy, and takes a lot of time and work to warm up to her people, but that is not the case with other cats. As with her brother Munro, she absolutely LOVES her foster brothers and spends hours playing with them, getting groomed and grooming them, snoozing with them and generally hanging out. If there are strange people in the house, she will hide, but she's not very good at it - usually you can see her ears in the box at the top of the cat tower, and the tops of her eyes peering at you, or she hides underneath one of her brothers! Once she gets familiar with your regular visitors, she's happy to come out and play with them. She LOVES to play, and has energy for days - even when the other cats are all winded and ready for sleep Rosie is keen to play.
Rosalie can get quite stressed, (I would too, if I were that small) and she needs to be in a house by herself, or with other cat-friendly cats, as unfriendly ones cause her to retreat and hide which makes her a little challenging. If Rosalie is in a house where she can relax and be herself, she is a treat to have around. She doesn't get along with her foster sisters (they are not cat-friendly cats at all), but has had no issues with her foster brothers.
When she does warm up to you, she has the sweetest, loudest purr ever heard from a cat so tiny, and she enthusiastically rears up like a tiny horse to meet your hand for pats and scritches and squiggles around trying to get all the best spots. She is gentle and sweet, and has never put a claw out to any of her foster humans, even when she's been handled for unpleasant things like flea treatments and claw clipping. She will give your fingers a gentle lick to let you know you're ok.
Rosalie does have a few odd quirks. She's wary of people's feet and will squeak out of your way if you're walking through a room that she's in, and she doesn't really know if she likes to be touched. She sometimes happily accepts and leans into a pat and will follow you around all smoochy-like, and sometimes she is not having a bar of it! Definitely a strong independent woman!
She adores her little mouse toys and will happily throw them around the house for hours pretending they are real mice, and she's absolutely mad for feather lures and laser pointers! It's a lot of fun to play with her because she's so enthusiastic and really throws herself into it.
Rosalie is desexed, vaccinated, flea treated and microchipped. She's an indoor cat, and is very healthy with sleek, shiny, soft fur.
Ideally, Rosalie and her brother Munro would go to the same forever home. They are not lone cats, and like each other's company.
