About Quigley
Quigley
Meet Quigley! I reckon he is a bull arab with definitely some kelpie in there somewhere – but your guess is as good as mine.
Quigley is a beautiful dog, fully house trained and loves to be wherever his humans are.
He love, love, LOVES playing with the ball! It is because of this that he is super easy to keep focus when at the park. He has really good recall ,and if you have the ball then he wont leave your side.
Quigley knows how to sit, wait for dinner, sit before crossing the road and shake paws. He is getting the hang of stay, drop, give and come. Such a smart dog! He pulls a little on the lead – but since being put in a haltie he is a breeze to walk.
He currently lives with a female bull arab and they get along fine. He chills out in the back yard during the day with her when the foster parents are at work with no destructive or annoying habits. He loves chewing on his kong and never chews anything that he isn’t supposed to.
Quigley has had a bit of a rough start in his life, so he is a bit scared when he meets new humans but he soon warms up when he realises there are tummy scratches available. He seems to want to round up everything he meets (probably related to his working dog genes).
He has not been tested on cats.
Quigley’s skin is a bit sensitive – but with regular washing it keeps things under control. He loves getting a wash and will stay in the bath while he is washed.
His ideal home would be one where he can get a decent amount of exercise – whether that be throwing the ball, going for jogs or walks. He needs to be somewhere where he is part of the family and gets to snooze inside when it’s cold. He would love to have a doggy friend to hang out with, but he prefers dogs that are a bit more submissive.
He would love to have some grass to run around on too – more areas to throw the ball for him too!
Quigley would be delighted if he could get up on the couch to snuggle with you – or even on the bed…but he will get off if told to.
Quigley has been exposed to a number of kids from 3 years to 12 years and is very gentle with them.
If you want a loyal dog, that will protect his family and want to play, Quigley could be for you!!
By the way – did I mention he likes when you throw the ball?

Medical notes
Medical – Quigley is recovering from a spider bite – so he has a small (10c piece) scab on his back leg. No ongoing treatment required as it will heal on its own.
He will also need regular washing as his skin is sensitive. He currently gets washed weekly with an oatmeal wash.
