About Quasa
Quasa - Piñata Litter Shepherd x kelpie DOB: 11/08/2017 Adoption fee $495
Howdy, my name is Quasa, My mum and my siblings were rescued from a Rural pound in NSW. Mum is a kelpie x shepherd but we believe we may also have cattle and/or Arab in me as well. My siblings didn't have the greatest start to life, but it's only gotten better since. My leg got broken when I was really little and I wasn't allowed to move around much with my cast on. The second it came off, I got put in a lovely yard with my foster brother and sisters. Running about, playing, wrestling with them is my favourite. My foster mum says that I saved up all my energy when I had my cast and I'm using it all now. I like to pretend that I'm a big dog and be protective of my humans and my yard, until after dinner of course. Then I'm a tiny little lap dog when I get snuggles, and the closer the better. Food is my absolute favourite, and I'll do just about anything for treats. I make sure my foster siblings don't even leave a crumb. I know my basic manners, but I can be very easily distracted. Part of being a puppy I guess. The cats never really want play much, which sucks, because they look like fun to play with. I used to sleep inside in a crate, but now I sleep outside with the other doggos and it's great. I don't even need a night light or anything.
I am super affectionate and love being with my humans, weather it's playing in yard, doing chores or chilling in the sun. I loved playing with the little cats, but I think I must have been a little too much for them because they never wanted to play with me.
I will be a great family pet one day, I just have so much love to give.

Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home, or in a public place. If you have other animals they must be at the meet.
If at the meet, you and the dog get along- you have the option of either taking the dog on the spot (in exchange for the full adoption fee paid upfront, and contract signed)- or placing the dog on hold for up to 2 days without any holding fee applicable. When adoption begins you will be provided with 7 days' worth of food for the dog, as well as what brand and type of food it is, so that you may change their diet carefully and slowly, or purchase more, if needed.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold dogs for 3 days or longer, without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the dog, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters and so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit non refundable to avoid time-wasters, especially when it comes to puppies under 5 months of age. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the dog. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you pay a $100 holding fee so we can hold the dog for a week- the day you collect the dog you will sign and adoption contract, and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $50 is non-refundable.
During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic in your area and OTC will cover any treatment needed.
On commencement of the trial period, OTC will send you a copy of your signed contract, the vaccination cards, desexing certificate and microchip number implant details.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox.
