About Macy *On Trial in Her New Home*
*MACY IS TRIALING HER NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Marvellous Miss Macy is a healthy, happy puppy who was born on 23 June 2017. Her mum is actually a black, slightly shaggy Border Collie/Golden Retriever mix - if we hadn’t seen it with our own eyes we would never have believed it – and her father is unknown but we suspect from Macy’s looks and colouring he must’ve had some Mastiff or Ridgeback in him as she certainly looks nothing like her mum!
Macy’s a confident young girl who’d love a home with a playful pooch if you were to be at work for most of the day as she enjoys having company. She is a clever pup who has mastered sit and knows her name well and has good recall. She’s also very food orientated (Schmackos are yum!) which will help with any further training you’d like to do with her.
This gorgeous girl gets along well with her foster carers own dogs though can be a bit rough with the older little ones, so a similar sized dog in her forever home would suit her best. She’s ok with the household cats just wanting them to play with her too though they tend to steer clear of her foolish antics! And Macy is great with kids though school age would be the go ass he does tend to jump up a bit when she’s super-excited and may accidentally bowl a toddler over.
Enjoy some video of Macy and her sister (who has already found her forever home): https://youtu.be/ErbFTSAMwbw
As you can see in her video Macy loves doggie toys and is always up for a game of tug-o-war and being the bright girl she is we don’t reckon it would take long to teach Macy to fetch!
Macy also loves spending time indoors and enjoys a snuggle on the couch if she can get away with it! While in foster care she has gotten the hang of toilet-training and learned to use a doggie door, so we’d love to see this indoor / outdoor lifestyle continue in her forever home. She is also crate-trained and happily goes in there at bedtime or at any time during the day when she’s feeling a little sleepy or just needs some timeout.
Being a young pup Macy will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so she grows up to have lovely manners. Daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to play with will make Macy very happy indeed!!
If you’ve got the time, patience and love required to continue bringing up Macy then please download and complete a SARG Dog Application form by following this link: http://www.sarg.net.au/adopt-a-pet/

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
