About Charlie Browne and Jinx ~ on trial 23/11/2017
Hey there! We are Charlie Browne, a 5 year Moodle (Maltese x Poodle) boy and Jinx, a 3 year old Spoodle (cocker spaniel x poodle) girl. Sadly, we have lost our human mum who passed away recently sow we are looking for a new family who will love us as she did. We are both great with other dogs but may suit a family without others so that we can get the attention we deserve. We are very friendly around new people and want to be around the action in the home; however we are happy to chill out and sleep too. We do most things together. We have been well loved and have been allowed to sleep inside on the bed.
A little about Charlie Browne (Brown with an “e” and Charlie for short). Charlie is a beautiful friendly boy who loves human companionship, loves being tickled under his chin and throat and will often roll over to have his tummy rubbed. He likes to sit with you whilst you sit and watch television or be with you when you are pottering around the house and garden. He is devoted to his companion Jinx with whom he loves to have a game of tug of war, or just play and go on walks. Charlie has many tricks he likes to do, he will sit upright and beg for a treat, give you a high five and he is learning to shake hands.
A little about Jinx. Jinx is a free loving young lady whose zest for life is contagious. She is never too far from her friend Charlie Browne and looks to him for guidance in times of need. She is very beautiful and knows it. She loves to be cuddled and, like all ladies, adores the pampering of a grooming session to show off her beautiful golden coat. Jinx likes to be right next to you or on top of you if you’ll let her, she simply adores people and any kind of attention is just great. Jinx loves going for a walk with Charlie and will pick up her leash and give it to. However, her enthusiasm and her youth means she walks a little fast so has to learn to slow it down a little. As with Charlie, Jinx loves to ride in the car and has now discovered the joy of a trip to the beach and the fun of going for a swim.
A note from the carer: both Charlie and Jinx are just beautiful, loved and loving dogs. They get along very well, each relying on the other’s strengths. They are inside dogs and must sleep inside. They are not yappy dogs but will let you know when someone is around. They can get excited for the first 2 minutes of you coming home but settle down in no time. Both dogs love going out for a drive and travel very well. Oh yes, don’t forget to stop at the coffee shop so they can meet some new friends.
They have the curly Poodle coat that doesn’t shed but does need regular grooming and clipping. They are both house trained and would easily learn to use a doggy door. They are both intelligent and would respond well to further training. They often share bowls of food together and have never shown any aggression towards any of their foster brothers and sisters. of which there are a few. They currently live with 4 other dogs both big (45kg) and small (9kg).
Charlie and Jinx need to stay together as they love each other. If you are looking for two quiet, well behaved and relaxed additions to your home who will show you lots of affection please contact their carer Jackie by email Jackie-keane@bigpond.com. They are currently living in Shoal Bay, Port Stephens NSW (north of Newcastle).
Charlie and Jinx’ adoption fee is $1,000 for the pair and they are desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
