About Cobia
What a stunner!
Cobia is a beautiful young dog with an easy care, smooth brown coat. She is still a playful puppy and very much full of life. She just weighed in at 20kgs at the start of December and will likely be around the 30 - 35kg weight as an adult (the smaller side of a large dog or the larger side of a medium dog).
She loves new environments and meeting people. She is super friendly, and on the rare occasion she feels uncomfortable will give you a quick check in for reassurance. She has always lived with other dogs, currently she is living with a Great Dane/Amstaff adult male and loves her big foster brother. She loves to play with other dogs , big and small, and can run around with them for hours on end.
A regular at the dog park, with soooo many admirers; she stays close and her recall is improving. Cobia comes to her name more times than not (especially is you can make eye contact with her). She loves kids, (especially little girls) and will seek them out with a playful waggle of the bum to illicit some pats.
Her training is going great guns, she's food motivated and she wants to please. Cobia is great on lead, can sit, knows her ‘down’ and is getting good at waiting for doors and gates. She needs someone who has the time to teach her what she needs to know and as a loyal, intelligent puppy, she still has a bit to go.
Metal stimulation is just as important for Cobia to be happy. She will do best with decent sized backyard to help burn any excess energy. Right now, her routine is twice a day walks to the dog park (or the beach - she runs across the water like a baby deer), and some short daily training and tug/fetch/sniff games for mental stimulation, plus her regular puppy attacks on her big fur brother.
Cobia is toilet trained, but does still require some regular trips outside to regulate her puppy bladder, (keep these regular and you won’t have any accidents) and is also crate trained and at night, after her evening bathroom break, she’ll sleep through the night (with only the very occasional grizzle).
She will thrive in a family that is committed to her ongoing training, exercise and stimulation. She enjoys outings, such as the park or even a stroll to the café. She will need a cozy, indoor bed to sleep on at night, and I recommend toys to chew on so she doesn’t take anything else!
Cobia requires a home with another playful dog or someone home most days. Overall, she’s a very happy, energetic puppy who is open to anything and looking for a safe home.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
