About Jack ~ Red Cattle Dog (on trial 25/11/2017)
Hi I'm Jack and I'm a no fuss kinda guy. I like the simple things in life, you know like a safe warm bed inside, a belly filled with a couple of good meals a day and a really good human mate that I can hang with, have fun with and maybe even go to work with. You gotta admit, I'd look mighty damn fine on the front seat, cruising next to my human buddy with the wind blowin' in my face.
At the moment I'm living with my foster Mum & Dad and foster brother, another cattle dog, I really like my foster brother but sometimes he gets a bit bossy so I think I'd maybe like to try and move out on my own and have my person all to myself but I can't choose who I'd prefer. My foster Dad is so awesome because we do fun stuff like running and playing in the yard and we even have a special goodbye when he goes off to work but again my foster brother always tries to push in front (Dad doesn't always let him though). And then there's my foster Mum. She always feeds me, she's so warm and cuddly and lets me snuggle with her. Hey... c'mon y'all know there's nothing better than a cuddle, even though I look sturdy and robust every boy always loves a cuddle and I give cuddles as well as I get them. So I wouldn't mind if I had a Dad or a Mum or maybe I could have both ! I know I have enough love to go all around. Oh and I don't mind kids either. I haven't met a cat yet but my foster Dad thinks with the right introduction I might be ok with one as I have a very gentle nature.
I still get a little bit nervous with loud noises and they scare me a bit, but Dad says I have progressed a great deal since I first came to stay with them. So if you'd like to meet me I am in care in Lake Macquarie and my foster Dad would love to tell you how great I am.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
