About Oscar
Oscar is a playful, bouncy, ball of energy! He enjoys running around the backyard, wrestling with his furry friends and lapping up every bit of attention from his humans. He has been in foster care with his sister, Emmy....but will be heading to a new foster home this week to learn some boundaries from some more mature, bigger dogs. Oscar is quite a headstrong young man who will need a good pack leader in his forever home.
Crate training is going well for this little guy, who will happily sleep all night snuggled with his sister. He is also very food motivated, making it easier for training. Oscar has good recall, responds well to his name and he absolutely LOVES to be cuddled by his humans and has shown no aggression towards people at all. Given that he is quite a boisterous pup, he would be more suited for older kids and will grow into a medium to large dog when fully grown.
Oscar loves to be the centre of attention and is learning that love can be shared. He would be better suited to a home without pocket pets or cats as he can get a little too excited around them.
Oscar would suit a home with or without another dog, as long as he was made to feel a part of the family. If he was to be an only dog, he would need continued socialisation with other dogs during his puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that he grows up to be a well mannered, socialised young man.
We would love to help get you started with that, so our amazing supporters, Best Friends - Erina, have kindly offered to include a 5 week Puppy training course with all of our Puppy adoptions (up to 16wks of age)....The Best Friends Puppy Pre-School service is a fun and interactive five-week training course that covers puppy behaviours, diet, health, grooming, exercise and play, with an emphasis on socialisation, command training, health and care. Their aim is to teach you positive ways to train your puppy in basic skills such as ‘sit’, ‘drop’, ‘stay’, and how to walk well on a lead, but also how to control your puppy’s not so desirable behaviours like toileting inside, biting, mouthing and separation anxiety.
Oscar is booked in for desex on Tues 7th November and will be ready to head off to his forever home from 9th November. If you are interested in meeting this handsome young man, please provide us with as much info as possible when sending through an enquiry. Oscar is located at Chittaway Bay on the Central Coast, NSW.
