About Dusty
LOCATION : HERVEY BAY, QLD
Dusty is a sweet and gentle boy, weighing in at only 27kg which is small for his breeding. Fraser Coast Animal Rescue recently saved Dusty from an early departure from this world, as he was due to be euthanized. Dusty loves to sleep, he’s very lazy! In saying that, he does love to run on the beach (on leash). Belly rubs and massages around his jowls and ears are his favourite. When Dusty is happy, he doesn’t just wag his tail, he wags his whole body! Dusty just wants to be loved. Eager to please he is quick to learn his foster families expectations. He is amazing with the resident cats and treats them with respect. He needs a slow introduction to new dogs, but his foster family are working extensively to expose him to new situations and he is responding well to his training. He is learning his basic commands and is a pleasure to walk on lead. He has come a long way since coming into care with Fraser Coast Animal Rescue, but would prefer not to be home alone so is extremely happy in the car or even at work.
If you would like to meet this loving boy please message us here to arrange a no obligation meet and greet.
Medical notes
Dusty has been micro-chipped. Transfer of details upon adoption.
Adoption details
Fraser Coast Animal Rescue house all our dogs in care with foster carers in family homes. This allows the dogs to experience life in family situations with other dogs, cats, children, chooks and various other domestic animals. This gives us an opportunity to discover their traits and personalities, likes and dislikes, and which dogs would suit which family dynamics.
We offer a 14 day trial period for all potential adoptees so they can see if the dog they have chosen is a fit with their family. There is a $50 refundable deposit paid on the commencement of the trial period, which comes off the balance of the adoption fee should you wish to formally adopt your chosen dog. If you decide that the dog doesn't fit in with your family, the dog will be returned into foster care, and the full balance of the deposit is refunded to you with no fees or charges.
If you wish to arrange a meet and greet with one of our dogs in care, please call Dianne on 0400346347 or email dianne.north@hotmail.com
The committee and carers of Fraser Coast Animal Rescue are all volunteers, so please be patient with us if we don't answer your enquiries straight away.
