About Missy
Missy came into care with Urban Cat Rescue because a concerned resident told me she was found roaming the streets without her collar. You could tell she’d previously warn one, because she still had the mark from it in her fur.
Chances are she’s a dumped pet, or escaped and became lost. Either way, because she wasn’t microchipped, we were unable to track down her owners. We created lost and found flyers and distributed them in the nearby area, spoke with local residents etc, but no one recognised her.
Her colouring and markings are just stunning and she’s now had all her vet work done (vaccinated, microchipped, flea & worm treatment) – she’s healthy and can’t get lost again!
This little lady is currently with one of our foster carers and her personality has blossomed, with all the attention she’s been getting. She’s around 8 months old and has built a beautiful furry friendship with her foster fur-brothers, Saba & Coco (2 huge Maine Coon boys!).
She’s super friendly, independent, inquisitive, loves her toys and playtime, explores the house regularly, has a healthy appetite, is litter trained and purrs up a storm. She’s never far from her foster Mum and enjoys being part of the day-to-day routine. Her days are spent lazing around on the lounge, cat tree, in her tunnel or taking a nap on the bed. Her foster Mum works full time, so she’s left to her own devices in the house, with Saba & Coco and seems happy entertaining herself – there’s nothing destructive about her behaviour at all.
Whilst she could easily go to her fur-ever home as a solo cat, she seems fine with company too. She’s not been exposed to a dog, albeit it Saba & Coco are bigger than most small dog breeds! Nor has she encountered children yet – however, her nature suggests she’d adapt without issue.
If you’re looking for a new furry family member, then please complete the adoption application and we can arrange for you to meet her, or do an adoption trial with her.
