About Denzel
Howdy, my name is Denzel and I am as charming as I look. I have that whole movie star thing going for me, and I even have a really cool scar on the side of my face. I hear chicks dig scars so I am hoping it will help me find myself a a nice lady, or hey, maybe even a whole family. Families dig scars too right?
The reason I have my scar is also the reason I am with OTC. You see, I cut my face trying to get through a fence. And unfortunately it wasn't just a little cut. It was big, deep and it hurt alot! My family just couldn't afford the treatment for me, so rather than see me suffer, they stepped up and asked for help, so here I am.
OTC drove me in and took me straight to the vet. It's been a long road to recover, and I still have a while to go, but my face will heal :) It no way effects how awesome I am, if anything, it makes me cooler!
I am a real sweetheart, and I get a long well with dogs. I just hope any new doggy friends have a sweet loving personality like I do. I don't care much for bossy dogs, as I am pretty chill and want to be around people and dogs like myself. I've been around children and I am very gentle.
I have a border collie body but short little corgi like legs. Some say it makes me look funny, others say it just adds to how cute I am! So I am only a little guy, but I have a big personality like a border collie. I am only young, so my new family will be required to helping me out with my training.
Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home, or in a public place. If you have other animals they must be at the meet.
If at the meet, you and the dog get along- you have the option of either taking the dog on the spot (in exchange for the full adoption fee paid upfront, and contract signed)- or placing the dog on hold for up to 2 days without any holding fee applicable. When adoption begins you will be provided with 7 days' worth of food for the dog, as well as what brand and type of food it is, so that you may change their diet carefully and slowly, or purchase more, if needed.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold dogs for 3 days or longer, without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the dog, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters and so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit non refundable to avoid time-wasters, especially when it comes to puppies under 5 months of age. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the dog. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you pay a $100 holding fee so we can hold the dog for a week- the day you collect the dog you will sign and adoption contract, and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $50 is non-refundable.
During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic in your area and OTC will cover any treatment needed.
On commencement of the trial period, OTC will send you a copy of your signed contract, the vaccination cards, desexing certificate and microchip number implant details.
