About Cougar
Meet Cougar. After living in a backyard with minimal interaction for 5-6 years, Cougar was surrendered by his owner. He has never had a collar, never been on a lead, never really been handled. Removing him from his backyard was traumatic. BUT... in the few weeks that Cougar has been in care, his sweet personality has bloomed. He strongly bonds with carers and sticks to their side. He has started learning to walk on a lead, showing that old dogs CAN be taught new tricks! We have been taking it slowly, but Cougar is such a willing and loving participant that everyone here has already become attached to him. Cougar will need to be in a loving home where he is the only companion. He can mix with other dogs (we have only tested him with females so far) and he tolerates them for a brief period of time. We have not tested him with cats or pocket pets. Please, please, open your home to Cougar. He will repay you a million times over with his love and loyalty.
