About Zuma
Hey, my name is Zuma and I am part of OTC's Paw Patrol Litter. We came in as part of the Last Litter deal, but we are a little bit more special as we've been in care with our mum since just a few days old. Our mum's owner couldn't look after us, and so they contacted OTC who came to the rescue.
As we were so young, the agreement was that our mum would stay in care until we were old enough, and would be desexed and returned.
I am an inside/outside dog during the day and sleep inside at night. I enjoy playing with my favourite toy a squeaky squirrel, i also enjoy playing with the leaves in the yard and believe it or not my brothers ears!
My favourite activities to do in the day time is running around the yard, sleeping and trying to beat my brother in tug of war but he’s a little bigger than me so I’m slowly working on that.
I am good with kids but have yet to be tested with cats. I am good with my siblings but yet to be socialised with other dogs due to quarantine. I have learnt my basic commands and have learnt to sit and wait for meals. I am a well behaved puppy with a lot of love to give.
Included in my adoption fee: - Vaccinations kept up to date while in care - Worm/tick/flea treatments kept up to date while in care - Starter pack of food - Desexing - Microchip implant and chip changed into your name - A small donation to OTC which helps keep them running! Adoption fees help cover the database, sanitation, transport and advertising fees to they can rescue more dogs.
Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home, or in a public place. If you have other animals they must be at the meet.
If at the meet, you and the dog get along- you have the option of either taking the dog on the spot (in exchange for the full adoption fee paid upfront, and contract signed)- or placing the dog on hold for up to 2 days without any holding fee applicable. When adoption begins you will be provided with 7 days' worth of food for the dog, as well as what brand and type of food it is, so that you may change their diet carefully and slowly, or purchase more, if needed.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold dogs for 3 days or longer, without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the dog, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters and so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit non refundable to avoid time-wasters, especially when it comes to puppies under 5 months of age. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the dog. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you pay a $100 holding fee so we can hold the dog for a week- the day you collect the dog you will sign and adoption contract, and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $50 is non-refundable.
During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic in your area and OTC will cover any treatment needed.
On commencement of the trial period, OTC will send you a copy of your signed contract, the vaccination cards, desexing certificate and microchip number implant details.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox.
