Cagney has been with her foster family since October and boy has she come along in leaps and bounds! If you are looking for personality and charisma then Cagney has bucket loads! She likes to be with you "helping" with the day to day tasks and is a real chatterbox, talking as she is playing by herself or looking for you or the other cats. She is also amazing at playing fetch, even better than some dogs!
When she first came in to rescue, she didn't like to be petted or sit on the couch but now she loves both, just for the amount of time she determines. She loves giving head smooches and has a real fascination for the plug hole - not the water, but where does it go? Every time the tap in the laundry is turned on, she jumps up on to the washing machine and watches what happens or sits on the bathroom sink while you get ready for work.
Cagney is quite a dominate personality (it is how she shows love) so would be best suited to a home with another similar cat that will help keep her on her toes or a family that will give her plenty of play interaction time when they are home. She is not a cat that likes to be held but she does come and sit next to you on the couch and sometimes ventures on to your knee if she feels like it. She does love to snuggle up against your legs at night and her purr is very loud.
Cagney does have a medical condition to note: her tear ducts are blocked. This only means that sometimes she looks like she is crying. There are no problems associated with this and again another reason we would recommend she be indoors only. Her eyes just need to be watched and cleaned with lukewarm water and a cloth every once in awhile.
