About Fleur
At 10 years old Fleur was dumped at the pound. Tossed away like a piece of rubbish. No longer the easy cat that she once was, her owners couldn't be bothered with all the additional care and costs owning her now meant.
Because of all her medical needs the pound deemed her unadoptable. She was at a cross road... rescue or be put to sleep. Fleur is now in our care and looking for a very special forever home.
Fleur has taken it all in her stride, not phased by much she is the true definition of an Underdog. Fleur is currently living with one of our volunteers who is a veterinary nurse. She is comfortable and happy. Purring away, kissing her foster carer every day and enjoying watching the world go by.
Fleur is a very easy going lady and would be good living with children, providing they are gentle with her. She also isn't phased by dogs or crying babies (the benefits of being deaf)!
Medical notes
Fleur is deaf, has mild cataracts, early kidney disease, osteoarthritis, cat flu and mega colon. Mega colon is an abnormal dilation of the colon which means that Fleur gets constipated and uncomfortable without daily medical intervention.
Fleur's current medications include (which are mixed in her food): Cisapride, Lactulose, Osmolax, Metamucil. Fleur also occasionally requires a Microlax enema which is easily given at home to assist in evacuating her bowels.
A free consultation with our chosen veterinarian is included as part of Fleur's adoption.
