About Yang
SOME EXCITING NEWS ABOUT YANG!!! He is currently in Foster Care and is doing extremely well, enjoying the company of another little dog and running and playing in his huge backyard. We will keep you informed in due course,.
Yang - probably would like a new name for starters! He is a mix of Staffy and Border Collie which is very evident by his photos. He loves lots of attention, going for walks and along the beach for a run but he won't go in the water. He is a good car passenger for anyone who likes to take their dog on trips with them. Although he is almost 9 years of age, playing with toys and chasing his ball is still high on his agenda of things to do. He gets on well with other dogs. He is not good around cats, so no cats in the family please! He is house trained and will cry to go to the toilet.
Yang is not a fussy eater although he needs to be fed separately from any other dogs as he likes to gobble down their food as well as his own.
This beautiful boy was a reluctant surrender - due to a change in living circumstances where only one dog was allowed into the new premises. He was very much loved by his former owner who was very upset to have to part with her loving companion.
Yang will need good, secure fencing to keep him safe, along with strong gates.
We will give preference to an owner who has an existing dog or someone who is at home most of the time as he does not like being alone and can be a bit of an escape artist.
All his vaccinations are current and he has had his yearly Proheart injection and a health check. Weight: approx. 20kg.
Yang is ready to be adopted now and we would encourage anyone looking for a sensible, mature dog to join their family to enquire about this beautiful boy by phoning Nigel Bird on 6584 4992.

Adoption details
The first step is to phone or email Midcoast Dog Rescue Inc. for assessment regarding prospective ownership and pet suitability.
Adoption Application forms must be completed.
A property inspection will be carried out on properties in the Port Macquarie area so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you’ve selected. Proof of home ownership will be required. If renting your home, a letter from the owner’s agent confirming that the pet is allowed will be required.
A 2 week trial period commences on the day of adoption. If, for any reason, the dog is returned to Midcoast Dog Rescue within the trial period, the total adoption fee paid will be refunded.
All Midcoast Dog Rescue animals come desexed, microchipped, vaccinated (up to date), vet checked ,wormed, flea and tick treated.
.......................
Midcoast Dog Rescue Inc. is trying to expand its foster carer network so that we can help more dogs in need. This is a very rewarding experience and suits a variety of people. Some people, for whatever reason, are unable to make a permanent commitment to a dog, a commitment which can last for up to 15 years. Others use the fostering experience as an interim measure before committing to permanently owning a dog. If you think you could be interested in becoming a foster carer, either on a long-term or a short-term basis, and would like more information please contact Nigel on 6584 4992 or Wendy on 6584 7027.
