About Boston
This handsome, sweet boy is Boston.....He arrived into care with his sister, Charlotte. Boston is extremely timid with people, but is really starting to settle into his foster home and social with other dogs once he knows they won't hurt him. He is currently in care with 3 other dogs (small/medium) and is fantastic with all of them. Cats do not seem to phase Boston. This gorgeous boy will need a quiet home with people who have the time and patience to help bring him out of his shell and teach him to trust his humans.
This boy has so much love to give and will happily smother you in kisses when he feels safe. When he is feeling anxious, he tends to back away and takes himself off to a safe place. He certainly feels more comfortable when his humans are sitting down at his level and he can approach them in his own time. Boston is in no way aggressive or snappy when he feels scared. He so desperately wants to trust his humans, but is just unsure about the world around him.
Boston is quite happy to spend his days outside with his 4 legged furry friends. He loves playing with rope toys and balls and playing chase with the other dogs in the backyard. Once he's exhausted all his energy, he's more than happy to snuggle with his furry friends for a well earned nap. Boston is such a sweet little man but does look to his fellow furry friends for reassurance, so he would benefit from having another doggie companion in his forever home.
Judging by these long legs, we believe Boston will be a medium to large dog when fully grown. He will be an active, intelligent boy who will need a family who enjoys the great outdoors, and who are committed to providing his basic training needs.
Whilst in care, Boston has not shown any signs of being a jumper, or an over excited, crazy pup. He's quite chilled out and gentle when taking food from his humans. He is however, coming into the teething stage where everything looks enticing, so will need plenty of chew toys and bones to keep him occupied.
Boston would suit a home preferably with another dog, as he looks to his canine friends for guidance. If he was to be an only dog, he would need continued socialisation with other dogs during his puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that he grows up to be a well mannered, socialised young man. The Catahoula/Greyhound breeds need plenty of exercise and we will be looking for an active family who understand their needs.
Boston has had all his vet work done and ready to find his forever home. He is located in Glenning Valley, on the Central Coast, NSW.
