About Jett2
Jett2 was surrendered by a lovely lady who had adopted him only a few weeks before from our local pound not long after she was diagnosed with cancer. She worried what to do as she would be going away for treatment and had no one to look after him. She decided that she would surrender him as he is such a lovely exuberant young lab cross who really needs a young family to grow up with. He is a very smart young dog who needs some training. When he came here he had a number of issues especially in regard to someone trying to grab his collar. He is not at all aggressive it is more that he will run and hide if you try to grab his collar. We are now teaching him that it is ok and treat him with a cuddle, a stroke or a real treat each time he allows us and this is proving to be effective. He is a typical playful young lab with a lovely nature. He is desexed microchipped and immunised
Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
