About Kota ~ Bull Arab x Koolie x Dane (on trial 28/12)
Hi, I am Kota and I like warm hugs! I am a 20 week old female Bull Arab x Koolie x Dane puppy and as cute as a button. My foster mum has nicknamed me Shadow, as I love to always be near her. Given the chance, I will crawl up and snuggle in right next to you.
I really am the sweetest girl and I am very eager to learn. I am currently working on mastering walking on a lead, house training, general commands like sit and shake and also using my manners for meal times. I have become really good at sleeping in a crate at bedtime. I am currently sleeping inside until I can be happy being away from my foster family at night time.
Since I am still a puppy I can be a bit cheeky, but I have yet to chew anything up and I do not seem to be a digger. When it comes to typical puppy traits, I do have my puppy bark and when I get lonely I can try to get your attention. I am working on this. I am hoping to continue being a good girl and with some proper puppy training and continuous work, I will be an amazing smart doggie. I really do have a lot of potential to become the best family fur-member.
I like having a playmate but I am also happy being a single dog with lots of affection from my foster family. I love being a part of the family and hanging out with them while they are inside or outside. I’ll need a yard to play in with good fencing as I will grow up to be a big girl.
Kota's sister Pixie is also available for adoption.
As Kota is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
If you would like to meet this gorgeous girl or know more about her, please email her foster mum Jessica at jesmem8@gmail.com. Kota is currently being fostered in Raymond Terrace area, NSW (about an hour north of Newcastle).
Kota's adoption fee is $500 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
