About Henry
Henry is a funloving little Scotsman! Not too much bothers this little guy. We did a little reading up on the Scottish Terrier breed when Henry arrived into care and we've decided our little man is very much a textbook Scottie! "The Scottish Terrier's bold, confident, dignified aspect exemplifies power in a small package... a determined and thoughtful dog whose 'heads up, tails up' attitude in the ring should convey both fire and control." "The ideal owner of a Scottish Terrier must have the time to devote to the needs of the dog, and a desire to share their life with a canine companion that will more than repay all the love and attention received. From dawn to dusk your every move will be watched and you will be protected and doted upon. As long as a Scottie is treated well, its love for its owner will be undying."
Once Henry has decided you are his family, he is the perfect companion. He will happily spend his days hanging out you and most definitely enjoys being with you! He is an independant guy though and will happily potter off and do his own thing. Henry is very happy in the company of a fourlegged family companion. A companion his own size to play with would be perfect but someone a little bigger is ok too! Henry is cat friendy IF you have a dog tolerant cat. A scaredy cat that will run at the very sight of him will be pure delight for Henry, but one that will ignore his antics will soon be forgotten. Henry is young and has a tendancy to act his age often. Be ready for shoes, or anything really, to go missing in a second! Henry has shown a tenandancy to be quite 'mouthy' (anything below his eyes: feet, shoes, bottom of pants and long skirts are fun and his!) so we're a little reluctant to add him to a family with small children.
Henry will need regular grooming and clipping. His coat will soon become unruly if left unattended. He is carrying a little 'condition' at the moment but a daily walk or two and a quality diet will trim him up and keep him in shape. He is most definitely not a marathon runner, but will need regular exercise.
Henry is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and flea free. He is currently in care in Echuca, which is three hours north of Melbourne.
