Shandy

We are pleased to introduce you to the lovely Shandy.

She is a gorgeous middle-aged girl who will really blossom in the right home. She is looking for a home that understands that she can get worried about new things and needs a family willing to take the time to introduce her to their world.

She is selective about who her dog friends are but can walk past other dogs calmly during walks. She is not suitable for romps at the dog park. If you're looking for a walking buddy for long leash walks then this is the girl for you. Unfortunately Shandy is unable to be rehomed with cats.

She has some training under her belt and will generally walk nicely on leash and knows basic commands. As with most dogs you will get the best results if you continue this training once she becomes part of you family.

Shandy prefers encouragement from a human when she is playing with toys and is not great at playing with them alone. We are currently teaching her how to use KONGs and other interactive food toys to keep her mentally stimulated during her stay.
