About Basil ~ Chihuahua X (on trial 10/12/2017)
Basil is a playful, boisterous and fun Chihuahua, approximately 2.5 years old. He got his name from the children’s TV show “The Basil Brush Show” since he has a nice big bushy tail and a similar personality.
Basil enjoys being inside with his humans or curled up on a lounge. He is currently sleeping in a dog bed beside his foster mum’s bed, as he doesn’t like sleeping the actual human bed. He must sleep in the room as he will get upset when left in another room.
Basil would love to live with someone who doesn't work full time as he loves to be with people. His new home needs to have no children, cats or pocket pets. Basil is very playful so he needs to have another small, friendly dog playmate. He needs a very safe secure yard and home as he can be a bit of an escape artist. He will repay you with tons of affection and amusement.
For more information or to meet Basil, please complete this questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf and forward it to his foster mum Erin via email ezz13e@hotmail.com. Basil is in foster care in Edgeworth, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Basil's adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
