About Charlie - a senior bachelor
Charlie is a senior piggy at 5 years of age. Charlie is shy piggy who loves a good scratch behind his ears. Charlie loves his food and really looks forward to dinner time. He loves being cuddled and getting a lot of attention from his human slaves. Charlie is a piggy who prefers people to piggies.
Unfortunately, Charlie is a dominant piggy and does not like other males. Due to his age, he is unable to be desexed and paired with a female. While piggies are herd animals and should have a friend, Charlie just does not like other boys and is destined to live the life of a bachelor. Charlie is looking for a nice retirement home to spend his senior years in and is happy to be by himself as long as he has a piggy slave to give him lots of love and cuddles.
We don’t normally adopt out piggies by themselves but due to Charlie’s dominant nature and being unable to desexed him, we are forced to rehome him by himself. We feel it is better that he can find a forever home than to live in foster care for the rest of his days. The average life span of a guinea pig is 6-8 years of age.
Charlie was a private surrender due to his family having to relocate for work and they were unable to take him with them. Charlie lived on his own in his previous home.
Medical notes
Charlie does have arthritis in his back legs
