About Socks ~ Chihuahua x (on trial 21/10/17)
Socks is a 6 year old Chihuahua X. He is a funny little fellow that bonds with one person quite quickly. He loves to be loved and will ask you for a cuddle with a gentle pat of his paw. He has huge brown eyes and cute white socks on his paws.
Socks really is a sweet boy, as anybody who has ever loved a Chihuahua would understand. He walks very nicely on a lead. He is not a nuisance barker. He will talk to you as you feed him to let you know how happy he is. He has not been tested with pocket pets, so we are unsure if he likes them.
Socks is best suited to be a single dog. As he gives his loyalty to one person, he would be a perfect companion for a single person or a perhaps couple. He is not suited to a home with children. He is an inside dog and needs to be welcome inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside. He's a little sweetie that will make you very happy.
For more information or to meet Socks, please contact his foster carer Kelly on by email to kellysgroominggarage@hotmail.com.au. It will save time if you could first download an Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx, fill it out and send it with your email. But if you can't do that please just send an email to Kelly and she'll help you.
Socks is in foster care in Blue Haven, NSW (northern Central Coast) and is available for adoption interstate. Socks's adoption fee is $350 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
