Dexter Latimer

Eat, sleep, run, and play. That’s Dexter. He gets on well with other dogs plays with them, cuddles them, isn’t at all aggressive or overbearing.

Mind you he still has a lot of puppy in him, loves his toys and to run around with the other dogs. He has bursts of energy, then passes out on the couch next to you.
He adores human company and likes to know where his humans are at all times.

He so loves attention and pats but is not demanding. He just hovers close by so if you want to pat a big puppy, there he is!!

He is an active boy and will need to run or at least active walking as well as mental stimulation (dog toys etc) Otherwise he will find his own alternatives but looks very guilty when caught. He particularly likes boots and ripping up things. He will do best with another dog to play with. He has not met a cat but we don’t think that would be a good combination.

Such a trainable boy. In his time with is foster carer he has learnt to sit and to take food gently by hand, and stay and drop. He has an excellent recall. He demonstrates deference to the dominant dog at his household and is very responsive to dogs around him. He appears to be an easy going dog who wants to be everyone’s friend.

Dexter is truly a lovely dog, adoring his humans, not defensive around food, gentle and easily trained. There are many reasons he is lovable, not least is his ability to run around ‘helping’ you with jobs in the house / garden then crash out the second you stop, close and always keeping an eye on you in case you’re going somewhere interesting. He is adorable with his toys, wants to share the fun with you and brings you his toys to look at. He gives great cuddles but isn’t all over you/demanding.

Warning – he is an early bird and he likes you to be too!!
