About Jasper ED0127
If you're looking for a small dog with a big personality, Jasper could fit the bill nicely!
Jasper came to SAFE from the local pound, he was a very timid boy initially who has settled in well with his foster carer.
He is an easy going, affectionate boy who can be timid when meeting new people, but will usually come round quite quickly with patience and the help of a few doggy treats!
Jasper enjoys cuddle time with his foster carer and loves to play hide and seek and tug of war. He has a stuffed troll toy at present that he loves to snuggle up with.
Jasper is a fairly active boy, so will need a daily walk to combat boredom. He walks well on the lead and knows a couple of commands. He responds well to training so will pick up more commands with time and patience from his new owner.
Jasper is still in the process of being housetrained so will need a little help in this area, again with a bit of time and patience he will soon have it mastered.
He rarely barks, but is fearful of loud and sudden noises, so will be best suited to a quiet household with no young children.
Jasper is scared initially of larger dogs but with gentle introduction he is fine once he knows they mean him no harm. He is friendly towards smaller dogs and has shown that he would like to play.
Jasper's ideal home will be with someone who has patience and empathy towards his little issues, who will give him help to overcome his problems and turn him into the perfect all round pet that he has the potential to be. He will require a home with secure fencing, and needs to be allowed to sleep inside at night.
If you can offer Jasper the home he needs, please fill out an enquiry form and we will be in touch with you as soon as we can.
