About Coconut
Coconut was born into medical testing and then rehomed by the same organisation at an early age. The family that took her were unprepared and unable to care for her and meet her basic needs. They eventually did the right thing surrendered her to us. By then she was 9 years old and had been kept mainly in the backyard and garage. She had an awful skin condition which we have since gotten under control, but she will still need ongoing management for life – This is as simple as a bath every now and then, some good quality food in her diet and some medication to help her skin stop itching when it flares up, a cost that BFA is happy to help contribute to for the rest of her life – Coconut was covered in lumps and bumps which we have now removed, they have all been checked and cleared of anything nasty. Coconut was shy but desperate for attention and human interaction at first, she has now settled into her new life and loves to go for walks, cuddle on the couch and loves her food! She would suit a home where she was the only dog so that she can catch up on all the attention she missed out on over the years she was ignored. She also gets long with other beagles well, could live happily with a male. And as for other breeds, she doesn’t quite speak their language! Coconut is house trained and crate trained, she MUST be an inside dog and sleep and spend her time with her family. If you think that you could meet all of coconut’s needs please fill out our form and we will be in touch
