About Louie
* must be rehomed with another dog
* must sleep indoors
* not suited to young children as they frighten her.
Funny little Louie is ready to find a safe, settled home to call her own.
Louie has spent her whole life being scared, so she needs a family who can take things slow and steady and let her take the time she needs to build up her trust and reduce her anxiety.
While Louie has been in foster care, we’ve seen the light come back on in her eyes and an affectionate, pushy little dog is slowly starting to emerge from a trembling, fluffy shell.
Louie now loves to squish in next to you for cuddles and ‘nose kisses’ and is eager to please her humans. She absolutely adores following her canine foster sister around (a laid-back medium sized dog) and finding patches of sun to bask in. She’s been figuring out how to play with other dogs, but she can get overexcited and skittish at times, and some dogs may react to that, so she will definitely need a home with a small- to medium-sized, calm dog around to show her the ropes. Definitely no puppies or small children as their unpredictability and exuberance just frighten her too much.
Louie will need ongoing training to help her with her anxiety, but she already walks well on lead, (especially with another dog to follow) and responds well to voice correction. She doesn’t shed, but she does require regular grooming (preferably monthly) and she has to sleep indoors with her pack.
Louie is a very special little dog and she deserves a very special family. If you think you may be able to provide her with the love and stability she needs, then please, get in touch with Beagle Rescue Victoria….
* no young children as they stress her
* not suited to full time workers
* must be rehomed with at least one other dog
