Nature
Rascal is a beautiful, quiet girl who is slowly learning to trust people. She likes to find a central spot in the house where she can sit out of the way but still watch everything that is going on, and is very curious when watching everyday household activities. She spends most of her days sunbathing on the dining table or windowsill – and is a great listener, though she doesn’t say anything in return. She really is the perfect houseguest – very low maintenance, extremely tidy with her litter box and waits very patiently in the kitchen for her dinner (unlike her unruly foster brothers and sisters!)
Progress Notes
Rascal has come a very long way since coming into care. When she first arrived she took up residence in a wardrobe and would not come out for months, now she is happy to be out and about and part of the family, although more on the fringes. She does progress at her own pace (i.e. slowly), but will interact and react when her carers speak to her, will sniff their fingers and eat from their hands but at this stage does not like being touched. She is very curious though when watching her carer fuss and pat her foster brothers and sisters in front of her, and we believe one day she will allow pats and then wonder why she held out so long! She is not phased by other cats, but prefers to do her own thing, and will play with cat toys or balled up pieces of paper when she is feeling frisky, which is an absolute joy to watch.
