Nature
Gilly is special girl needing a gentle touch. She is very timid but she is making steady progress. She cannot be approached on the floor as she will run away, but her male carer has been able to pat her gently when she is on the bed. While she is always on high alert she does relax into pats after a few minutes. Gilly is happy with her own company sitting on her carer’s bed in the sun or by the window. She will need to be an inside only cat as she is quite skittish about the big, open world outside.
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
Gilly is wary about her cat companions. As she is submissive she does not do well with dominant cats. She is okay around kids who are older, but she prefers to keep her distance and will hide if their movements are too loud and quick.
Likes / Dislikes
Gilly likes to snack on dry food during the day and we have found wet food can upset her stomach. She thins out quite easily (despite being wormed) so she needs a constant supply of good quality food. She loves to drink water and goes through a lot, but fortunately she will let you know when it's empty (ironically, she doesn't meow for food). She uses the litter tray but it must be kept clean or multiple trays made available, as she will avoid them if they’re dirty.
