About Scout *On Trial in His New Home*
*SCOUT IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Are you looking for an instant doggie family without going through the pesky puppy stage?? Then you can’t go past these loveable lads! Scout and Rocky are awesome mates who have rarely been apart; you can tell they’ve been loved and well looked after which is why the decision to rehouse them has been so difficult for their owners to make but we have promised to find them a loving home where they can be together forever; will it be with you?
Scout and Rocky are friendly and affectionate without being overly licky or in your face and they only bark for a reason making them good watchdogs. They’ve grown up around children and cats and are fairly cruisey dudes with terrific natures.
Scout has been described by our vets as ‘portly’ and could do with losing a couple of pounds though Scout reckons it’s because he’s fluffy and it’s all just an optical illusion!!! He’s the more independent of the pair, we guess that’s because Rocky didn’t come along until Scout was close to 18 months old, so he’s a bit more used to his own company.
The boys hadn’t spent much time on a lead in their previous life but now they’re in foster care they’re being walked almost daily using Gentle Leaders as they’re quite strong especially if Rocky sees another dog and gets excited wanting to say ‘hi’! Speaking of other dogs they’re fairly good around them considering they’ve had very little socialisation in their past – they especially like their foster carers own two Cavoodles who Scout likes to chase about the yard; it must be a Border Collie try to round ‘em up kinda thing!
Rocky has never been without Scout in his life and you can tell he adores his bestie! But when he’s not chilling with his mate you’ll find him playing with toys as this fella loves to have fun and can entertain himself for hours. And if he can coax you into throwing a Frisbee then he’ll be more than happy to show off his aerial acrobatic skills!!! He’s the more affectionate of the pair and has really fallen for his foster carer and likes to be close by his humans when they’re home.

Both dogs are housetrained and are well-behaved inside but are quite happy to sleep outside as that’s what they’re used to.
We would love to honour our promise to find Scout and Rocky a home together where they can enjoy an inside / outside lifestyle and be part of the household’s goings on. A good-sized yard with secure fences, daily walks, bones to chew on and toys to play with will make this loveable duo very happy indeed!!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
