Maya

Maya is a 6 month old German Shepard x kelpie. She is a beautiful gentle soul and she's also a playful girl who loves to run and play. Maya comes to her name, sits well and is very gentle with food, she is still learning it's not ok to jump up and needs further assistance to develop her doggy manners, she will need an owner who is willing to put in the time with the ongoing training.
Maya loves to please you and learns quickly. She loves toys and often is observed carrying something around where ever she goes. Fetch would have to be her favorite game and she is so good at it that she will fetch things that you don't ask for and give them to you as well...
Maya's current family has young children who she loves to play with and join in the excitement of racing around and is quickly learning not to jump up.
Maya has not had the easiest start in life, she suffers Osteochondritis Dissecans (OCD) which has resulted in a plate being placed in her leg. It is possible that she will require surgery again in the future for this condition which will be supported by Starting Over Dog Rescue.
