About Ken Griffey Jnr *I'm Free to adopt!* (Cav17-147)
Caution - this profile is rated M15+
Much like the cat it is describing, it is not suitable for children. It contains mild coarse language and violent themes. You know you want to read it!
It also contains strong Simpson's references. If you are unfamiliar with the yellow family we won't hold it against you but you might miss the joke!
Ken Griffey Jnr is looking for someone really, really special to take him home. We say that about most rescue pets, and of course who doesn't deserve lots of love? But this fella doesn't need particular medical care or an especially quiet or gentle home. No, the kind of special that he needs is someone who doesn't mind that he's a total dick. He's an absolute jerk, who woos you and draws you in with his smooching and purring and lookin' all friendly before turning around and biting the very hand that feeds him (yours).
As you can see, he's got a pretty ugly mug that's kinda rough round the edges. His ears are all torn up, he's missing hair from his tail (a condition called stud tail that's common in unsterilised male cats) and he's covered in scars. Did we mention he's so big he looks like he's got gigantism? That's where his name comes from.
KG was a stray for a long time. He might never have had a proper home in his life, or maybe he was abandoned. It's a chicken and egg question - did he become a total ass-hat because his family dumped him on the streets? Or did they send him out into the world when they could no longer tolerate his ass-hattery? Either way, he's used to owning his neighbourhood. It comes as no surprise that this shredded up chap is FIV positive, though he is clinically healthy at present.
Surprisingly, Ken gets on very well with other cats of all shapes and sizes. He is gentle, smoochy and friendly. Clearly his strange out-bursts of rage are reserved for people. Oh and dogs, man does this guy HATE dogs. He will launch at any canine with teeth bared, saying way more swear words than I'm saying here! Definitely no dogs. But if you've already got an FIV positive cat who needs a friend, he's be ideal.
You're gonne need to keep him locked indoors/in a cat enclosure for the the rest of his life. Which you will expect him to hate but he might not. He will probably pretend that he hates it just to make you feel bad cos that's the kinda guy he is but in reality, sitting around on the couch suits him just fine.
What more can we tell you about his personality? He's the ultimate jekyll and hyde cat. Smooch smooch smooch, oh my gosh I love you yes, scratch me right there, oh baby that is how I like the pattin... WHAM THAT WAS TOO MUCH! SCREW YOU! Now I'm munching on your arm.
Just like Moe Szyslak, he's not much to look at and at the outset doesn't seem to be much in the way of personality either... but then you meet him and you get sucked in. He's crazy friendly and loves people. The longer he's in foster care the more personable he becomes. There is just something about him. You can't understand it without meeting him, which I would strongly encourage you to do. You might walk away with some small puncture wounds on your hand.
Ken Griffey Jnr requires a home with sensible adult residents. No dogs and no kids, but an FIV positive cat is fine. He must be indoor only. He is affectionate and chatty and makes a good guard cat. His scratching and biting is diminishing with time but it may never go away altogether. He's irresistable and we hope you can love him like we do!
Oh did we mention he's also FREE to adopt?! Come and get yourself a little furry asshole today.

Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
