About Basil -Desexed and Vaccinated
Meet basil, the most laid-back bunny you'll find! basil was found as a stray and taken to a lovely veterinary practice. His owners never found basil, which is sad because he has obviously been one well loved bunny. We'd like to thank gemma, a staff member at the vet clinic, who took time out of her weekend to bring basil to rescue. Basil is one laid back and happy bunny. He is happy to be picked up. He is happy to be put down. He is happy to be carried. He is happy to be cuddled. He is happy to eat. He is happy to sit looking around his surroundings with one ear slightly lifted, while being told how adorable he is. Basil thrives on love and attention, and with chubby cheeks and round eyes, we're sure it won't be long until he finds a home that can satisfy these needs. *basil is currently having treatment on leg infections, and will be available once he has fully recovered. We are hoping that with all the vet treatment he has recieved we will eventually overcome the infections which have caused basil considerable pain. *
*update 21. 3. 10: basil has been living at the vetrinary clinic where he has had x-rays and a full dental. He seems to be recovering rather well and is quite a star with everyone who meets him! not suprising, as he really is a very special boy with the most gorgeous temperament. Is there nobody out there looking for a perfect bunny? he will need somebody very special to look after him. *
*basil will be desexed thanks to the generous donation from a lovely couple! thank you paula!!!*

Medical notes
Basil has had numerous vet appointments, and is currently having injections every day to combat his leg infections. This is very expensive and has cost us over a hundred so far. Any donation that can go towards this expense would be greatly appreciated. Please visit www. Porschesrescue to find a donations page, or contact us for more info. Vaccinated -please note that due to the release of calici virus on march the 1st, 2010, all bunnies adopted from us will be vaccinated. Please allow for an increase in the adoption fee to cover this large expense. Desexing normally costs anywhere from $100-$360. Vaccinations are from $40-80 (costs differ between vet clinics). Therefore please don't try to haggle the price of the animal for adoption. If you can't afford the adoption fee, you certainly wont afford the ongoing costs associated with animals
