About Gogal ~ Border Collie (on trial 26/10/2017)
Hello my name is Gogal (I didn't pick it, but you could change it if you were lucky enough to have me). I have a gold medal at being a smoocher and loving having people by my side. I also have a gold medal in the looks department, but there is no need for me to brag. I am a 6 year old male Border Collie, and I am on the lookout for a new home.
I can sometimes get a bit anxious, although with consistency and kindness, this will not be too much of an issue and I am getting better all the time. I walk pretty well on the lead, although due to my anxiety, I am not too good off the lead at the moment as I don't always have my listening ears on. I am great with other dogs and am always submissive and friendly, as long as any dog you have isn't too in your face, we will get along fine. I do like my exercise and will need a decent daily walk, although I am not as crazy as some other Border Collies out there.
I am toilet trained and travel well in the car. I am happy to be an outside dog during the day, although I will need to come inside of an evening to spend time with my humans and to sleep, as that is what makes me happiest. When I do come inside, I am settled and quiet. If I can come inside more often than great. I am a quick learner and would be easily trainable. I am not overly food driven although I do enjoy a good feed. I am also not a barker.
---------
Gogal has not been cat or pocket pet tested. Gogal would benefit from a home with older children, although the right home may have younger children. He needs at least 5 foot fencing.
For more information or to meet Gogal, please send the adoption questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx to Ben on thereddrums@hotmail.com. Gogal is in foster care in Maryland, NSW (Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Gogal's adoption fee is $400 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
