Hello hoomans! My name is Hector von Tripod and I am the happiest little doggo in all of Australia!

As you can see, I only have three legs, after a car accident a few months ago (I’m a terrible driver). But that’s not stopping me from enjoying life to the fullest! I’m living with my foster parents and their two kelpies at the moment, and I have never been happier. I settled in right away and proved that I am well house-trained. Although I had an accident once. I just got a little too excited. Oops!

Here are my top 10 most favourite things in the whole world:
1. PLAYING!
I love playing! I play with hoomans, other doggos and even by myself sometimes.
2. PARK!
Oh, my Dog, the park is the best place and I love, love, love it! I meet big and small hoomans, and other dogs, and it just makes me smile. I am a very active dog, so I need at least 30 minutes of running every day, and I am more than happy to go for a drive to get there. Oh, my Dog!
3. DOGGOS!
I have to meet every single dog I see, and I have never, ever been aggressive towards another dog. They’re the best, because they’re like me! I would really like to live with another dog, in my new forever home. I have never met a cat though, so not sure how that would work. But I’d be happy to give it a go!
4. SNUGGLES!
After a long day of playing, meeting dogs and humans, all I really want to do is snuggle up on my bed (or the couch with you), and ask for belly rubs.
5. WATER!
Oh boy, my foster parents took me to the creek and I just ran straight in! It was so much fun, splashing and shaking. I cannot wait to see the ocean! Please take me there!
6. TRAINING!
I am a very clever boy, and I get very excited when I get to use my brain. I know a few basics, like ‘sit’ and ‘come’, but with some treats and training, I will win awards for my awesomeness!
7. Which reminds me: TREATS!
Mmmm, nom-nom-nom. Nom-nom.
8. SHOES!
Those leather wrappers you hoomans put on your feet are delicious! I know I’m not supposed to take them, but the shoelaces are just too tempting. However, if you give me plenty of chew-toys and some reminders, I’ll leave them alone for you.
9. BACKYARD!
I love lying on my back in the sun, in the backyard. Smelling the grass, listening to the sounds around me. I will ask you, however, to let me sleep inside at night. I need to be a part of the family after all! I have not shown any sign of separation-anxiety, especially not when I have doggo friends to hang out with.
10. FOOD!
Who doesn’t love food? Apparently, I’m a little on the heavy side – for my three legs – so just make sure you don’t feed me too much. My foster family is currently working on making me shed a couple kilos, and I’m doing good!

I love my fosterers, but I know they can’t be my forever family. It makes me a little sad to leave them, but I’m certain you can give me the awesome life I deserve! I promise, I will love you forever, if you do the same to me.
