About Khaleesi
Khaleesi arrived into care at the age of 6 weeks along with her 6 litter mates. She's a very independant puppy who is happy to occupy herself but still enjoys playing with other dogs.
Although Khaleesi enjoys being cuddled and adored by her humans, she isn't as needy for affection as her brother, McGregor. She loves exploring and is quite adventurous, often heading off on her own adventure in the backyard. She's fantastic with other dogs and has been exposed to cats in her foster home (which she likes to playfully chase). Khaleesi is crate trained with toilet training almost perfected.
Whilst in care, her foster mum has been introducing Khaleesi to the lead and although this is a work in progress, with ongoing training, she will be walking fantastic on lead by the time she's safely allowed to explore the big wide world.
Khaleesi enjoys playing with just about anything she can find....whether it be empty toilet rolls, tennis balls, squeaky toys, sticks or leaves and with the teething stage starting, she will need lots of chew toys and bones to keep her safely occupied during this time.
She would suit a home with or without another dog, as long as she was made to feel a part of the family. If she was to be an only dog, she would need continued socialisation with other dogs during her puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that she grows up to be a well mannered, socialised young lady.
We would love to help get you started with that, so our amazing supporters, Best Friends - Erina, have kindly offered to include a 5 week Puppy training course with all of our Puppy adoptions (up to 16wks of age)....The Best Friends Puppy Pre-School service is a fun and interactive five-week training course that covers puppy behaviours, diet, health, grooming, exercise and play, with an emphasis on socialisation, command training, health and care. Their aim is to teach you positive ways to train your puppy in basic skills such as ‘sit’, ‘drop’, ‘stay’, and how to walk well on a lead, but also how to control your puppy’s not so desirable behaviours like toileting inside, biting, mouthing and separation anxiety.
Khaleesi has had all her vet work done and already experienced her first photo shoot! She's now ready to meet her new family and move in.
