Lala

Lala came into our care heavily pregnant and recently had her puppies. Considering the size of her tummy, she did well delivering them on her own – a quick run around on the lawn between each delivery!

This dachshund X mum has been very determined to look after her puppies. The carefree lady who would roll over for anyone to stroke her belly however became very protective and did not welcome strangers to get too close to her babies.

We believe that this is a by-product of her time in the Bronx where such a little girl had to put on a brave front to keep safe.d
