About Mavis
Mavis is a complex young lady who has been through a lot this past month and needs someone who will be patient, respectful & understanding of her.
Mavis came to Little Legs recently as a mum who had only given birth hours beforehand. Sadly her little boys were no quite strong enough to thrive and passed over the Rainbow Bridge.
She has lived her whole life as a stray kitty, never knowing the love & safety of a human family. Then within a few days of each other, she is taken in to care by LL's and also loses her young, so she became quite defensive. But with gentle love and attention given at her own pace, she has started to see that humans can be kind and trusted.
Due to living her whole life on the streets, Mavis had never seen a Litter Tray and had no idea what it's purpose was. She is now learning and is having less accidents as each day goes by.
Mavis is still also learning that cats can indeed be friends. At this point in time her initial reaction is still defence but again, she is adapting to living in her foster home with cats who can be friends.
Her foster home has two young children but while she is still adjusting to domestic life, older kids who will give her space, or no children, will be a better match for her. Her personal space is very important to her when she needs it.
Mavis truly has a heart of gold but has had a hard life and needs to learn that people are kind. She'll sleep her day away on your lap if you let her. 💕
