About Bear ~ Mixed Breed
Please meet the very handsome Bear. How could you resist those big brown eyes!
Bear is a 5 year old medium size, male mixed breed dog. He is a beautiful boy whose owner had to move and couldn't take him. He is looking for his new perfect forever home.
Bear loves a walk or a jog, goes easily on a loose lead and sits when you stop. He is not a nuisance barker and has never shown aggression towards people or other dogs. He's a super-sweet boy who can't get enough pats and tummy rubs.
Bear currently sleeps outside in his cosy doggy crate. Since he hasn’t slept inside before we are unsure if he is toilet trained but since he learns very quickly we are sure with a little help in this area would be fine. Bear would like the opportunity to be allowed inside for some family time when someone is home.
Bear would love a new home with dog experienced, kind owners who will value his company. He would probably make a good work-mate. He's not suited for young children as he tends to jump and mouth during play but is responding very well to training for this. A family witdogh teenager children would be fine. Bear has had basic training and can sit and stay but his recall needs a bit of attention. We are unsure how he is with cats and pocket pets as he hasn’t had any exposure to them.
For more information or to meet Bear, please contact Sharron on 0423 331057 or email sstudley3@bigpond.com. Bear is located in Thornton, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Bear's adoption fee is $295 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
