About Daphne
Hi, I am Daphne and yes, I am as sweet as I am beautiful.
I was left abandoned at a house. When I was found I was skin and bone and covered in fleas and full of worms, but still had such a beautiful spirit. My guardian angel came along and knew exactly who to call to look after me, and that's how I found my place in foster care with OTC.
Since being in care I have been no trouble at all. I am well behaved and always listen. I come to my name, sit and wait for food and don't barge in when you open the back door. I still need some more training on things such as walking on a lead etc but I am smart and love food so training me is easy.
I live with cats and dogs of all sizes and I am good with all of them. Sometimes I like to play rough though so my new play mate will need to play rough too! I also live with a tiny human and I love him very much. Tiny humans give the best hugs!
I an thought to be a mastiff cross and for my young age I am already such a big girl, so my new family must understand the importance of correct nutrition for my bones and joints.
I spend my days outside with the other dogs while my humans are at work. I sleep inside in a crate and I am such a good little girl. I know when it is bed time and don't make a noise at all throughout the night!
I just love to snuggle and will take any advantage to sleep on your lap, despite my size! Sometimes I forget how big I am or I trip over my big feet and my humans say it is funny.

Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home, or in a public place. If you have other animals they must be at the meet.
If at the meet, you and the dog get along- you have the option of either taking the dog on the spot (in exchange for the full adoption fee paid upfront, and contract signed)- or placing the dog on hold for up to 2 days without any holding fee applicable. When adoption begins you will be provided with 7 days' worth of food for the dog, as well as what brand and type of food it is, so that you may change their diet carefully and slowly, or purchase more, if needed.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold dogs for 3 days or longer, without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the dog, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters and so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit non refundable to avoid time-wasters, especially when it comes to puppies under 5 months of age. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the dog. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you pay a $100 holding fee so we can hold the dog for a week- the day you collect the dog you will sign and adoption contract, and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $50 is non-refundable.
During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic in your area and OTC will cover any treatment needed.
On commencement of the trial period, OTC will send you a copy of your signed contract, the vaccination cards, desexing certificate and microchip number implant details.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox.
