Sookie

Sookie is a 10-12 month old kelpie sharpei with a lot of love to give!
Coming in to our care from a country pound where she was left by her former owner, sookie had a condition called cherry eye. We raised the money for her surgery and has now recovered completely.
sookie takes a little time to settle in with new people and understand that she won't be left again. Although she is lacking some basic training sookie has shown her eagerness to learn and please she is full of loves and wants to be with her people. Sookie love being with kids and can often be found sitting with her human foster kids or slowly walking beside the baby she has shown great gentleness with kids. Sookie shows such eagerness to be with other dogs although sometimes gets so excited that it makes other dogs Lil weary so if you have another dog it would be better if they were extremely friendly. Sookie is still a little timid around new people so will need someone who is understanding and patience this beautiful girl will make a great, loving and loyal pet to anyone who shows her the love she deserves. Sookie is not great with cats she tends to chase them. So a cat free home will probably suit her best!
