Boon

Hi, my name’s Boon and I’m an extremely loving mastiff x Greyhound/Staffy (we think) and I am about the size of a Labrador. I’m about 12 months old and am looking for my own family to love and to give cuddles to. Very family friendly and just want love. I have been with primary age kids and am fabulous with them. I don’t know about cats but I can’t be with free range chickens as I chase chickens (but with time and patience I could be trained not to).

I am learning manners as I came in with none. I was completely unsocialized and frightened of everything (even being in a house) but now given a chance to have a full life I have been getting used to family life and other dogs. A very loving boy who loves to play with kids and other dogs.

I love playing with any dog that I come across and especially love the attention of people.

I have learnt my new name and am learning manners from my carers and the older dogs I am currently living with. I have contently slept through each night without a fuss and my careers have a dog door that I learned to use immediately so have had no accidents. Even when the dog door is locked I haven’t had any accidents. My doggie friends have taught me how to play with toys and I have responded well. I love to run and play chasey with other dogs in the park. Am still learning to walk on a lead .

As I have had no training I would need to be taught, but have made a good start. I need to be loved, part of my own family and continued exercise. I have overheard my carers saying with training he will be one of those great special dogs. All the indications are there.

As I am only 1 year old I still need lots of training in what I can and can’t do but I have been learning with my foster family as to what is a dog toy and what is theirs and out of bounds but being young I need my own toys to keep me entertained.
