About Bam Bam
Bam Bam is a really cheerful friendly little soul. While only half the size of the other puppies in our care, he can rough-house with the best of them. He is also confident and respectful with the bigger dogs, and will play with them too if they are up for a game. He is just a delightful little guy to have around, trotting around looking for some action and constantly wagging his tail. He's a great one for a lap cuddle in front of the TV too.
Bam Bam has had a difficult start in life. He travelled all the from Fregon to come into care with us. As it turned out all the puppies were incubating parvovirus. With good veterinary care he survived the illness, but has taken a couple of weeks to start to thrive again. He was not very badly affected, but we intend to give all the pups extra time in care before they have their operations. They will be de-sexed and have their second immunisations at 10 weeks and then be ready to travel in a month.
Bam Bam's mum is really small, but we don't know who dad was. From his size at the moment we think is adult weight will be around 10 kg.
Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Bam Bam's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide.
Medical notes
Bam Bam will be wormed and heart-worm treated again just before leaving the Territory. He should be de-wormed fortnightly until 5 months of age and have at least 1 further heart-worm treatment after he arrives down south.
Adoption details
We request that prospective adopters email us with an initial enquiry. We will forward an application form. On receipt of the application form, we will make phone contact to discuss the adoption. We try hard to match the dog to the person, ultimately looking for the best fit for the dog. Shipping fees may or may not be included in the adoption fee, and this will be stated in the pet's profile.
